Mohi Din BinHendi
President and Chairman
A proud Emirati, Mohi-Din BinHendi has played a significant role in Dubai’s development across aviation, business, retail and sport.
His public service career began at Airport Customs before his appointment as Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation in 1979. Alongside H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, he contributed to a defining period for Dubai’s aviation sector, including the development of Dubai International Airport, Dubai Duty Free, the Aviation Club, Aviation College and Dubai Air Cargo Terminal.
Beyond aviation, Mr. BinHendi helped introduce international tennis and golf to Dubai and served in several prominent positions across the city’s business, education and sporting communities.
His contribution has been recognised internationally. He was named Gulf Chief Executive of the Year in 1994, received Austria’s Grand Decoration of Honour in Silver in 1995, and was awarded the title of Cavaliere by the President of Italy in 1996 for strengthening cultural and commercial ties between Italy and the UAE.
As the founder of BinHendi Group, he has built a business legacy spanning more than five decades, guided by an enduring commitment to Dubai, the UAE and the pursuit of new opportunities.
